#FreeEducation

                                                                     #FREE EDUCATION

Free education is funded through taxation or charitable organisations rather than tuition funding. Many schools in South Africa owned by the government are for free meaning that school fees are not paid despite that it is a Primary school or a Secondary school.Free education is for students who come from the disadvantaged families that do not have a bread winner or who earn less than R 350 000 per annul.

Advantages of Free Education
-Students who are from the disadvantaged families or backgrounds under the definition will be funded plus supported through the government grants not loans
-Obtaining a higher education qualification results in more professionals.
-Basic education is highly important but it is through higher education where active economy contributors are developed and future leaders groomed.

In this video students are protesting, fighting and putting their lives in danger for their education and mine to be free paid by the government.

             DISADVANTAGES
-A number of students lost their lives
-Some got arrested because of fighting for their education.
-Falling fees will benefit the rich
-This resulted to some students not witting their exams in time because they had to be stopped from coming to campus because of their safety.

  1. Free education will always be struggle because in the environment that we live in or the country to be precise, believes in having money to get things done or get the best products and that becomes a disadvantage to students who don't have funds that will help them further their studies.

  3. free education is a process that must be rolled out over years in certain stages. The tax payers should not bear the entire load at the same time. The first beneficiaries must be orphans and children from abject poverty.

  5. I fully support the initiative of free education, though I have to note that there has to be certain structures formed to support the costs that may occur

    1. Yes you correct on that one,for the government to be able to fund all of our studies that means the government has to come up with strategies and structures to support his initiative of funding the studies of students for free.

  6. Free education have both negative and positive results for the country itself. I will go with the positive side that finally disadvantaged communities/families will get a chance for change in their lives. Every child have a right for education so now it is the chance for everyone to fulfill their dreams.

    1. I support your comment, free education does have the impact on both negative and positive sides but positive is as it mentioned that students of the disadvantaged families will have the privilege to complete their studies and not having to worry about the costs of their funds.

  7. An interesting piece, this is. Free education is very much possible for the poor, because education is the greatest weapon to alleviate poverty even Nelson Mandela said. I believe every single one of us has a role to play in making free education a possibility.
